Sarah Reed
University Registrar
Sarah Reed (she/her) is the University Registrar at the University of California, Berkeley, bringing over 20 years of experience in higher education administration. Her career spans roles in academic and student affairs, with a significant portion dedicated to serving as registrar. In her role as University Registrar, Sarah serves as a key leader in academic administration, overseeing the development and implementation of academic policies, the integrity of student records, and the seamless management of processes like enrollment, course scheduling, and graduation certification. Her work ensures operational efficiency, academic integrity, and service excellence across the university community.
Before joining UC Berkeley, Sarah held leadership positions at UC Law San Francisco, the University of San Francisco School of Law and School of Management, and Florida Gulf Coast University. Her academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Organization and Leadership from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
Sarah is a dedicated member of the American Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), and the Pacific Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (PACRAO). She has served in various leadership roles, including co-hosting AACRAO’s For the Record podcast, using the platform to amplify colleagues’ voices, challenge systemic inequities, encourage authenticity in higher education, and actively pursuing one’s greatest potential and purpose.
