About Enrollment Management

Our Mission

Facilitate the success of a talented and diverse student body through intentional services and programming that bring them to and through UC Berkeley. Together, we form an ecosystem of programs and services that fosters an academic experience that promotes excellence, encourages discovery, and is anchored in equity - all to empower our graduates to be socially responsible, global leaders advocating for positive change.

Strategies

To realize our vision, the Enrollment Management Department is implementing several targeted strategies to enhance student access, support, and success. Our approach combines data-driven insights with a commitment to equity, efficiency, and innovation. Here’s how we’re moving forward:

  • Strategic Enrollment Management: Enhance strategic enrollment management planning by refining processes to boost efficiency in student services, ensuring a strong focus on achieving impactful student outcomes.
  • Enrollment Management Brand: Clarify and communicate the responsibilities and value of Enrollment Management and the units within it.
  • Strategic Partnerships and External Relations: Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships that support Enrollment Management goals.
  • Data and Systems: Leverage our expertise in data analysis and systems knowledge to make informed decisions and create responsive plans that drive and enhance equity.
  • Innovation and Effectiveness: Leverage passion and expertise to be creative, responsive and collaborative partners focused on staffing, service, and our students always.
  • Equity and Access: Evaluate and improve equity and access outcomes in outreach, enrollment, retention, and graduation.

These strategies guide our work as we continue to build an enrollment framework that is inclusive, innovative, and responsive to the needs of every student.
